Ways to avoid, reduce and get rid of wrinkles

As a woman, I can relate to many women that struggle to stay looking young and beautiful. As women, we worry about our weight, skin, hair, nails, clothes, career, and, well, just about everything. We want to be and look the best.

I am in my early 30s and have just started freaking out about the thought of getting wrinkles. I used to go outside without a care in the world on the hottest of days, now I won’t be seen outside when the sun is out. I avoid the sun as much as possible.

One of my worst fears is wrinkles. People always tell me, “It’s a natural thing that will eventually happen to all of us.” But personally, I will do and try just about anything to avoid wrinkles for as long as I can.

Why and how do we get wrinkles?

Wrinkles are part of the aging process that all women and men will go through and what is worse is that it’s unavoidable. When we are young our bodies produce collagen, which keeps skin from getting wrinkles. After the age of 20, collagen production is reduced, and the older we get the less collagen our body produces. Eventually, our skin loses elasticity and wrinkles begin to form.

There are so many expensive creams and treatments that guarantee to get rid of your wrinkles. But do they really work? Personally, I like using natural and homemade ingredients more than anything that you can buy at a store or online. All of those products are full of so many different chemicals that can actually hurt and damage your skin. Protein, vitamins A and D, fruits, vegetables and plenty of water are some of the most important things to include on an everyday basis to avoid wrinkles.

So here are some inexpensive and all-natural tips and tricks that you can try to avoid those ugly wrinkles:

  • Don’t smoke

  • Use sunblock

  • Use clothing to protect yourself from the sun

  • Rest on your back

  • Eat salmon

  • Add alpha-hydroxy-acids to your diet

  • Use vitamin C

  • Eat soy

  • Switch from coffee to cocoa

All-natural ingredients to help avoid wrinkles:

  • Olive oil. It is one of the most effective ingredients that you can use to avoid wrinkles. It repairs damaged skin tissue, hydrates and helps your skin by giving it elasticity.

  • Almond oil. It also helps your skin keep hydrated and helps to get rid of stretch marks and scars.

  • Aloe vera. Is one of the greatest natural ingredients you can use. It can repair your skin, rebuild collagen and prevent loss of collagen.

  • Egg whites. They get rid of toxins in your skin, repair damaged tissue and tone your skin.

Additional ingredients that you can use to prevent wrinkles are vitamins A, C, E and D, bananas, lemon juice, ginger, carrots, almonds, pineapples, coconut oil, cucumbers, tomatoes, papayas, and mint.
